Using ChatGPT to create images of characters laid out in parts can be very helpful and ideal when generating in CSM.
Open up ChatGPT, make sure the model is 4o.
Upload a reference image of a character you want broken in parts. Or you can let ChatGPT help you design your character image first if you don't have an image yet.
When asking for the laid out image use something along the lines as “ … break up this character in parts and lay the parts out in a way that would be ideal for image to 3D generation. I need all the main parts”
You might need a couple of tweaks and regenerate. When done, you should get something like this or similar. Go ahead and download it.
Go into CSM and on the homepage, at the top should be a button called “Parts & Asset Packs” Click on that.
When you click on it, this pop-up should appear. Go ahead and upload your image.
The next screen should be this pop-up. Go ahead and mask out each part you want generated.
The next window will be your meshes settings. Go ahead and pick your settings out and hit next to start the generations.
Once your meshes are finished, download them onto your computer.
Open up Blender and import each part into your scene
Assemble your mesh!
