Manual Image Segmentation

Manual Image Segmentation

Manual Segmentation (in Image to 3D settings) allows you to precisely define what parts of the image should be converted to 3D:

  • Off: Cube automatically identifies areas to convert. Ideal for simple objects against a clean background. Not recommended for complex scenes or detailed objects, as it might miss key elements.

  • On: Manually choose the exact areas to convert. Recommended for complex images or if the image contains multiple objects and you only want certain parts generated.

After clicking submit, you'll see the segmentation interface:

Left Panel Buttons:

  • Green (+): Click to add points selecting areas to include.

  • Red (-): Click to add points deselecting areas.

  • Undo (← arrow): Reverts your last action.

  • Clear (Broom): Clears all points to restart your selection.

  • Download (↓ arrow): Downloads your segmented selection for external use.

Bottom Buttons:

  • Mask Image: Click when you've finished selecting. Your masked selection appears in the "Segmented Mask" preview on the right.

  • Remove Mask: Clears your current selection, allowing you to start over. Useful for corrections or adjustments.

Once you're satisfied with your segmented mask, click the Submit button at the top-right to generate your 3D asset.
